Christmas
Lately my wife and I have been talking about the responsibility we have to show the world the Love of God. Not the typical churchy big smile with little impact; the sort of laying down your life that impact another.
What if every wealthy South African family were to take in a homeless child, one of this little ones that knows no home, no love, no security, no hope, no dreams. The ones that have experienced hunger, despair, abandonment, abuse, desolation and the death of every dream that they might just have left in them. What if every wealth child got a homeless brother instead of a play station? I tell you one thing, we’d all start looking at the world a lot differently. Suddenly the homeless child still out there is a stark reminder of where the one you have taken in could have been. The one in your home becomes a message of hope, a testimony of what is possible if people allow God to change their hearts. Suddenly every Christmas becomes a true Christ celebration, because one in your midst have a physical realm experience exactly like Spiritual experience we call salvation, one that was taken from the darkness and pulled into the light of homes, like we were pulled from the darkness of our slavery into the light of his salvation.
What if I started?
